On the afternoon of January 16th, 2023, our school held the first round of meeting to improve the application quality for projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2023. Professor Li Weiwen, Professor Xie Lishan, Professor Song Haiqing and Professor Peng Fangping were specially invited to give guidance on the fund application of our faculties. The meeting was held online and presided over by Professor Li Weiwen - Associate Dean of the school.

At the beginning of the meeting, Associate Dean Li Weiwen expressed his gratitude to the review experts who participated in the meeting. He affirmed the phased work of the fund application of youth faculties participating in the meeting, and encouraged everyone to continue to do a solid job in the project application and make new achievements.

At the meeting, Professor Xie Lishan, Professor Song Haiqing, Professor Peng Fangping and Professor Li Weiwen made professional and detailed comments on the problems existing in the application writing from the aspects of project title, scientific problem attributes, project topic selection, logic between research sub-topics, theoretical depth and innovation of research, etc., and put forward detailed and valuable comments and suggestions for faculties to improve the project application. At the same time, they answered the questions raised by youth faculties, and gave earnest guidance for youth faculties in combination with their own fund application experience.
