About Dr. Ho Sin-Hang and Ho's Education Foundation

In 1985, Hong Kong's famous patriotic industrialist, philanthropist and commercial giant, Dr. Ho Sin-Hang, donated a huge sum of 20 million Hong Kong dollars and set up a special foundation for operation and management, to facilitate the establishment of the school. The purpose of Ho's foundation is to "contribute to the cultivation of all kinds of management talents with integrity of ability and morality for the Four Modernizations of the motherland”. The foundation consists of the chairman, 5-7 members and secretaries, who all work for the foundation voluntarily. According to the constitution of the foundation, the members shall hold a working meeting at least once a year. For more than two decades, the Ho's Education Foundation has been paying close attention to and fully supporting the development of the Business School. At the beginning of the foundation's establishment, not only did it spend huge sums of money to help the School to carry out infrastructure construction, purchase teaching equipment, books and materials, but also funded the construction of faculty dormitories, which greatly improved the teaching conditions and the living conditions of the faculty staffs. At the same time, in order to promote the academic development of the School, it has funded and sent teachers and students to study and exchange overseas. In recent years, in order to help students with financial difficulties in their families to successfully complete their studies, support undergraduates to exchange and study overseas, and encourage faculty staffs to work hard, the "Ho's Grants", "Ho's Outstanding Undergraduates Overseas Study Grants", "Ho's Teaching Award" and "Ho's Teaching Service Award" and other grants have been established.

About Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation

The Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation was established in 1982 at the beginning of China's reform and opening up. It is a non-profit-making civil organization with the motto “nurture ourselves, nurture others ". The founders are 13 well-known Hong Kong businessmen from industrial and commercial circles and professionals, which are Mr. Lee Siu-Kei, Mr. Wong Foon-Shing, Mr. Fok Ying-Tung and others. Ho Mr. Ming Sze serves as consultant. Since its establishment, the Pei Hua Education Foundation has been committed to training talents for the motherland, reform and opening up, and modernization, paying special attention to investing large amounts of resources in ethnic minorities and western regions. So far, nearly 10,000 cadres have been trained. Among them, the "Training Course for Hotel Management Cadres in Minority Areas" in cooperation with the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee and hosted by our School, has lasted for more than ten years, and made positive contributions to the economic and social development of ethnic minority areas in China. In 1994, our School was awarded the honorable title of "National Model Unit of National Unity and Progress" by the State Council. Since the establishment of our School, Pei Hua Education Foundation has been helping and supporting the construction and development of our School from all aspects. In the early days of its establishment, the foundation donated 320 thousands Hong Kong Dollars to support our teachers to study in Hong Kong and purchase original English books for our library branch. Since its establishment, when there’s the "Training Course for Hotel Management Cadres in Minority Areas", a few places would be specially given to our teachers to support the cultivation of the teachers and management talents of our school. Mr. Fok Ying-Tung, one of the main founders of the Foundation, donated 4.8 million Hong Kong Dollars in 1987 for decorating the hotel management training center of our School and purchasing furniture. He also visited our School in person three times in 1988, 1998 and 2002 and gave guidance to our work. Mr. Fok Chun Wan, Executive Chairman of the Foundation, donated total 680 thousands Hong Kong Dollars in 1985 and 2002 for purchasing two sets of language lab equipment and decoration.
