Project Overview
The undergraduate education of School of Business?follows Sun Yat-sen University’s talent training policy “integrity of ability and morality, leader traits and family-country”, with the goal to cultivate versatile talents with “multiple research skills and solid management foundation”, adhering to the educational principle “solid foundation, intensive courses, custom-tailored education and personality cultivation”. General education and primary professional education are implemented for the lower grades, and professional education that combines programs and modules for the higher grades. The undergraduate education of the business school centers on the socialist core values and social responsibility, focuses on “Three One Three Early and Full Supervision”, and insists on integrating moral cultivation into education pertaining to professional skills, morality, general knowledge and social practice.
Programs
The School of Business?provides two undergraduate majors: Business Administration and Accounting, and both science and arts students are accepted. Business Administration contains five modules: Tourism Management, Marketing, E-Commerce, Human Resources Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Internationalization. Accounting includes two modules: Accounting and Financial Management. The most important feature of these two majors is that they allow students to choose and combine courses according to their interest and abilities, so as to meet the needs of students’ personalized development to the greatest extent. The advantage of cross-directional combination in the field of management will enable students to improve their competitiveness and comprehensive quality.
The school pays close attention to the cultivation of undergraduates’ academic and scientific research abilities, and implements the “Three One Three Early and Full Supervision” system, so as to realize teachers’ all-round and consistent guidance for students in the aspects of values, coursework, academic skills, hands-on experience, thesis writing, etc.
Exchange Programs
The school attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation, which has more than 100 high-quality partners, over 50 of which cooperate with the school in exchange programs and joint cultivation programs. More than 80% of these partners have at least one international accreditation of AACSB, EQUIS or AMBA. With various types of exchange programs, students have the opportunities to learn and grow together with international students through joint training, semester exchange, overseas internship, international competitions and other programs and activities. More than 100 students are sent/accepted to study abroad/in our school every year, and scholarship is provided for excellent students. 100% of the undergraduate exchange students sent abroad in 2018 have got a scholarship.

With the goal of cultivating managers with broad international vision, noble personal integrity and remarkable ability and quality, we provide outstanding management talents such as Zheng Liping - Senior Adviser of South Asia Bureau of Asian Development Bank, Peng Qinghua - Party Secretary of Sichuan Province, Yu Miaojie - Party Secretary and Deputy Dean of National School of Development at Peking University, Wang Zi and Mo Zihao on the list of Forbes 2017 “30 Under 30 Asia”, to the academic and political fields.
Scholarship & Financial Aids
The school attaches great importance to the awards and financial aid for undergraduates. In addition to university-level scholarship and financial aids, the school has integrated social resources to set up a number of scholarship and financial aids for undergraduates. The school-level scholarships include Li Xuerou Fund scholarship, Eyas Soaring scholarship, Tian Jian Scholarship, 1983 Alumni Scholarship & financial aids, Shan Meng scholarship, GP Talents Scholarship, etc. The school-level financial aids include Life Spring financial aid, Liu Jixing - Guo Bilian financial aid, Zhao Xiuxia financial aid, Bank of East Asia financial aid, etc. In 2018, there were 20 undergraduate scholarship programs, with more than 546 winners and 2.5 million Yuan. In 2018, adhering to the principle of “help as we can”, the undergraduate financial aids maintained 100% coverage, and a total of 223 person-time and 868,300 Yuan have been funded in 12 projects.
Campus Life
Students have made great achievements in domestic and overseas competitions: National Champion of “Kunshan Cup” National Excellent Entrepreneurial Team Competition for college students; Won the national champion of IMA Campus Management Accounting Case Competition four times; Grand Champion of China division and champion team in the 13th International Enterprise Management Challenge; Gold award and innovation cup of China-ASEAN Youth Innovation Competition in 2011; Grand champion of “KPMG Cup” Case Analysis Competition in 2012; Special Award of “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition in 2013; Three gold and two silver medals of “Create Youth” National College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition in 2014; Champion of the first Two Shores and Four Places College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Final Competition in 2014; Runner-up of Deloitte Tax Challenge (Greater China) Final in 2015. Second prize of “netinnet.cn cup” Financial Decisions National Cup Top Ten Invitational Competition in 2016; Champion of the first Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao University Accounting Business Knowledge Contest in 2017; Second prize of of “KPMG Cup” Case Analysis National Competition in 2018.
Career
Special personnel is assigned to be in charge of the entrance counseling, career planning and guidance. The school guides students to enhance their awareness of further study and improves their competitiveness by improving the quality of education and teaching. In recent years, the proportion of students going to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oxford, Tsinghua University, Peking University and other well-known universities at home and abroad has been increasing.
The school provides quality and rich employer resources, and build an employment service system between students and enterprises. Many graduates work in Hua Wei, Tencent, the big four accounting firms and other well-known enterprises at home or abroad. The regular tracking of the students’ employment status after graduation, and the establishment of a scientific feedback mechanism and evaluation system provide the students strong support for employment and further education.
