Firstly, Mr. Tim introduced the accommodation room in OSU, specific application requirements and conditions, and both advantages and disadvantage of each dormitory, as well as the use of meal fee. During his introduction, Dr. Wang instructed students to check on the OSU website for relevant contents and application procedure. Then students asked questions for more details and information, such as how to select the mix of accommodation and meal, whether they could change accommodation after one year and what the procedure would be if they apply for accommodation change, whether they could live with students of our country or with students from all around the world, and local customs, etc. Mr. Tim and Dr. Wang gave a detailed and complete explanation one by one. This communication has helped reduce students’ pressure causing by visa application greatly.
Mr. Tim Huff would introduce interesting local customs during each conference to get students familiar with local life, and he also mentioned that most school activities would have school as a guarantee. With the two days’ communication, students got to know how to apply for accommodation in OSU on line and had a better understanding of study and life in OSU, which has increased their confidence in applying for a visa successfully. From Mr. Tim and Dr. Wang’s special visit to U. S.
