SYSBS Hosts AACSB SouthChina Conference
The 1st AACSB Conference of South China was successfully held during April 1st to April 2nd in School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. It was jointly organized by Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business together with the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University. More than 30 presidents and directors from 18 business schools of south China get together to discuss the status of AACSB accreditation and its future development in southern China.
Dr. Eileen Peacock used to serve as the dean of University of Massachusetts Business School of U.S., and she is also the director of accounting department of AACSB for over 10 years. She has extensive experience in accreditation and academic relationships.
On March 31, Dr. Peacock made a trip to School of Business. Vice president Wang Fan and staff of international accreditation and quality improvement office warmly received Dr. Peacock in the accreditation conference room. Dr. Peacock really appreciate the current effort of our school on accreditation. She expressed the hope that Sun Yat-sen business school can influence other business school in South China by using its experience on accreditation and work together with other business school to improve the teaching quality. Dean Li of Sun Yat-sen business school had dinner with Dr. Peacock in the evening, and discussed the next task of our school''''''''s accreditation.
Sun Yat-sen Business School reinforced the relationship with AACSB, and enhanced its determination and confidence to apply for the AACSB accreditation through this conference.
