The Opening Ceremony and Argumentation Session for a Major Project of the National Social Sciences Foundation of China Led by Professor Xiao Jinghua was held successfully.
On the morning of March 31,2024, the Opening Ceremony and Argumentation Session for a Major Project of the National Social Sciences Foundation of China, “Research on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Transformation and Upgrading of the Manufacturing Industry and the Governance System”, with Professor Xiao Jinghua as the chief expert, was successfully held in Room M202 of Shansi Hall, School of Business，the South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou.
Professor Cai Li, Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Jilin University, Professor Wang Fan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Li Shanmin, Director of the School of Economics and Management of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Luo Jiade, Department of Sociology of Tsinghua University, Professor Zheng Xiaolong, School of Artificial Intelligence of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Jiao Hao, School of Economics and Business Administration of Beijing Normal University, Professor Zhang Xiao, School of Business of Nanjing University served as advisory expert. Professor Li Weiwen, Associate dean of the School of Business of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Xie Kang, Professor Wang Lin, Professor Fu Hui, Professor Zou Bo and Professor Xia Nanxin of Lingnan School, and other key members of the research group attended the session.

Professor Zou Bo chaired the session, and Associate dean Li Weiwen delivered a welcome speech to thank the advisory experts for their great support on the development of the project. Professor Xiao Jinghua gave an overall project report on the research background, project framework, research content and ideas. The experts at the meeting fully affirmed the significant value of the project, and at the same time, the experts provided their valuable views from different aspects such as problem-solving ideas, theoretical innovation and implementation points.
