Seminar introduction：
This unit provides an introduction to the important skills in Critical Thinking. ?It also covers the area of credibility and recognises that the plausibility of an argument is influenced by its origin, be that a person or an organisation.

Analysing and evaluating arguments including assessing strengths and weaknesses, and writing your own original arguments in response to stimulus material.

Exploring the difference of Ethical Reasoning and Critical Reasoning from the belief system and examining the ideas of conflicting ideas ?to evaluating materials found on newspapers, journals, books and magazines as subjective or objective interpretations and into the legal systemThe essence of thinking prudently relies on psychological understanding of you, the principles of how logic, the scientific method, and branches of philosophy allow guidance to our structured thoughts. This seminar exams these principles, human pattern analysis, discrimination and biases set forth by the United Nation’s OECD and the form of judicial judgment as results of philosophy. These applications are then revisited in organizational decision making for effective management and understanding market behaviors.

Speaker: Dr. Meiji Fong is an Ivy league graduate from his Masters and Doctorate programs graduating with Magna Cum Laude in the United States. He has served on multiple Government and Private Commissions and Societies; whereas his executive roles for investment, finance, economic policy and geo-political economics. His experiences also served in China as a China Peoples Political Consultative Conference committee member in economic policy; the Thai Government for Financing projects in Cambodia and Singapore; Planned and advised on the restructuring of Vietnam’s distress market and debt markets. Dr. Fong continues to service the financial markets specifically in the fund management industry a Director for the Market Intelligence division of Madison Hedge Fund, G.P., and an Executive Director of Madison Global Assets Management Co., Ltd.; and holds several directorships with other funds of alternative asset classes.
