Professor Jintong?Tang is an associate professor of entrepreneurship and management at Saint?Louis University, St. Louis, MO. Her research interests include entrepreneurs’ alertness, affect, social skills, entrepreneurial orientation, and social?performance of Chinese SMEs. She has published in various entrepreneurship and?management journals such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice,Journal of Business Venturing,Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal,Journal of Management, etc.
内容介绍：
A firm with high entrepreneurial orientation (EO) is defined as one that engages in technological innovation (i.e., innovativeness), undertakes risky ventures (i.e., risk taking), and pursues opportunities proactively (i.e., proactiveness) (Miller, 1983). EO has received substantial conceptual and empirical attention in the past three decades. It represents one of the few areas in entrepreneurship research where a cumulative body of knowledge is developing. To date, a large number of studies have examined various mediators and moderators in the EO-firm performance relationship. At the same time, scholars are struggling with furthering the field of EO by examining EO from a unique angle and by extending EO research to other relevant disciplines. This presentation will first provide an overview of the current EO research. Then two most recent EO manuscripts will be discussed, followed by suggestions for future EO research. Meanwhile, topics such as generating research ideas, crafting high quality research for premier entrepreneurship journals, tackling the review process, cooperating with coauthors, etc. will be touched upon.
